I'm a fervent collector of all types of antiques. If it's old, I love it and have to have it. And some of the best antiques come from the United Kingdom. While it used to be a pain to source these in the US, the Internet has made this real easy. You can get some great bargains online, often people are just looking to get rid of stuff on sites like eBay or Craigslist and they have no idea of the value of the items they're selling. I like to watch a show from the UK called Antiques Roadshow, where people bring in something old they have lying around the house that they suspect may be valuable. Often people are dissapointed because ther stuff has no value. BUt now and again someone gets a big fat surprise and some small item is wirth thousdans of dollars. If you love antiques and you know your stuff, yoou can often pick this stuff up for next to nothing.
